Continuing the expansion of its EV charging station network in India, Tata Motors set up 3 high-speed CCS2 EV charging stations in Rajasthan and 2 in Odisha.
The high-speed EV charger is equipped to charge the Tata Nexon EV from 0-80% in just one hour. Nexon EV users can find and access these charging stations via the Tata Power EZ Charge app, which also allows the user to monitor their charge status and get notified when they are ready to go. Tata Motors claims that the Nexon EV offers a range of 310 kilometres on a full charge.
In Rajasthan, the charging stations have been set up in First Mobital, Roshan Motors and Shree Shyam Motors in Jaipur. In Odisha, they were set up in TML Dion Automotives, Samantarapur in Bhubaneshwar, and TML Gugnani Autocars, Pratap Nagari in Cuttack.
Tata Motors has partnered with Tata Power to provide end-to-end charging solutions at home, workplace, and for captive and public charging.
Sandeep Bangia, Head of EV, HA & ESCO Business, Tata Power, said, “We are committed to accelerating EV adoption across India by expanding our charging infrastructure footprint. Currently, all the 4,000+ Tata Nexon EV owners can access over 456 charging points installed in 92 cities and on several prominent intercity routes across India. In Rajasthan, we have installed 182 charging points. In Odisha, we have installed 4 charging points, and this number is only expected to increase.”
